Would like to one day if I stumble across one at a reasonable price. Quote from: Jonah on March 17, 2020, 09:39:02 AM Can't speak to the Sheridan F since I've never handled one. My PCP's, pumpers, springers, CO2, even the Crosman 1 on the rare occasion I shoot those two. The s331 sight beats the 5D-SH sight I have on the Sheridan's and Benjamin's.īut, they are all different guns and I enjoy them all.

The 160 feels better in the hands.Īs much as I like my Sheridan's and Benjamin's though, I will say that my Crosman 160 3rd variant has the nicest feel bringing it to the shoulder to fire. On CO2 usage, the 114 runs circles around the 160 with the 160 on bulk fill. Accuracy wise, it's a toss up between the two Crosman's. The 114 would be the closest type CO2 gun to the Sheridan F. I can compare the Crosman 160 to the Crosman 114 since I shoot both.

I'd trade one of my C models for an F just to play with the F model.

I understand the 760 pretty much saved Crosman, but if the Canadian boy that inspired it had been the route Crosman went instead of the clam shell construction Id be so much happier with them.Ĭan't speak to the Sheridan F since I've never handled one. Now nothing can compete with the little 180 for co2 because is its own kind of special little plinker, they're just such an awesome lots rifle. I'd love to see a Crosman 160 compared to a Sheridan model F with a Williams peep, sure the Crosman has that great adjustable trigger but I've found my blue streak trigger to be light enough and very smooth. I'm at the point where my blue streak is my number one favorite, but I've fun with all of them and it just depends what I'm in the mood to shoot. And no I'm not one who feels the need to mod their guns for the utmost power and efficiency. Personally the Crosmans have their charms and I love them, but the benjamims and of course the Sheridan's which were imo the best of the best have their own different charms as well.Īll of them have plenty of power of you ask me, but of course the Sheridan's and Benjamin's with their larger tubes and 8 pump max are definitely more efficient. My '81 342 is pretty rough so I can't say. I love my '65 140 and the fit and finish is great with it's matched stock and firearm, but my '79 blue streak is definitely a nicer better rifle
